Proserpine Prawn Farm is the largest prawn farm in Australia.

Queensland's total production of prawns was 8,728 tonnes (t) in 2021/22. The expansion would contribute an extra 3,650 t of prawns per year.

About De Costi Seafoods

De Costi Seafoods Pty Ltd (De Costi) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tassal Group Limited (Tassal). In November 2022, Tassal was acquired by Aquaculture Australia Company Pty Ltd and its ultimate holding company, the Canadian-based Cooke Inc. De Costi operates the existing Proserpine Prawn Farm.
